Pray....a lot

I am sitting here thinking about Bishop Gene Robinson. I pray that the Lord will someday truly grab onto this mans heart and the hearts of all those that are praising his efforts to force the acceptance of homosexuality into the church. It will not be long now and the government will be stepping into our Churches, not bodily but with laws telling us we need to allow unrepentant sinners into our pulpits to spread their poison. More then ever we need to pray for this nation and its leadership. We need to pray for believers to stand firm and to love others the way Christ does. We need reach out to sinners in love, not judgment. We need to reach the lost with the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I once read a C.S. Lewis quote that said, "Odd, the way the less the Bible is read the more it is translated." I think that this is the pulse of many mainstream churches today. Will you join me and covenant with God to pray for our nation every day? Pray that we will be able to stand firm on God's word and not compromise no matter what worldly pressures may be put on us. Pray that the truth of the Gospel will go forth in power. Pray for the salvation of the leadership of this nation. Pray for wisdom according to James 1:5. Pray for discernment.
